Day off in Kyoto

Hello all you Correlationers!
We hope everyone has had a nice week as we’ve been thrusted into spring! This spring has been much better than last year, which we know that’s not saying much but at least we’re on the up and up! It’s been nice to get out more and smell the flowers even if we get a migraine from all the pollen; and there’s no better music to listen to while lounging in a hammock outdoors than Phoebe Bridgers latest record (that for sure should have won at least one grammy but we’re getting off the point). As we listened to Kyoto for the umpteenth time watching clouds go by, we wondered how we were going to decide what snack to eat. And that’s when we found the answers we didn’t know we needed! That’s right! The number of days into the year that the Kyoto City Cherry Blossom flowers bloom and the pounds per capita availability of Cherries in the USA are 67% correlated from 2008 to 2018! With these Cherry Blossoms blooming earlier, there better not be a cherry shortage!
