Hello all you Correlationers!

Another week, another correlation! We hope you're settling nice to this tradition as we're just getting started (again). We think it's important to have a healthy mix of old past times and new hobbies and boy do we have a nice crisp and juicy story to share with you today!

Even though the 'official' end of summer (in the northern hemisphere) isn't until September 22, school is firmly back in session and we're missing the long days and freedom summers are popular for. We long for all sorts of childlike adventures: running towards the out of tune chime from the ice cream truck, building forts out of pool noodles and lawn chairs, and losing track of time exploring a new trail by a creek. We also know there's nothing better than the comfort of a hot, deep-fried, golden, greasy chicken finger at the end of a tiring day.

Summer in the States is also not complete without Baseball. Even though we're not the largest fans of Baseball, Jomboy's love of all sports is infectious and they sure know how to keep it interesting breaking down all sorts of plays. The recent breakdown of the Dodger's Yamamoto almost no-hitter peaked our interest into the matter and sent us down a rabbit hole. Surely there were greater powers in action as to how the Orioles were not only able to stop the no-hitter shut out but rally back with one out left in the last inning. Then out of nowhere it smacked us right in the kisser. That's right! The frequency of 'Chicken Tenders' being written about in books and the number of MLB American League No-Hitters is 88% correlated from 2012 - 2022! Even though it looks like no-hitters are down from the peak of 7 in 2021, this better not mean chicken tenders are getting less popular!
