Happy Little Accidents

Hello all you Correlationers!

We will have some exciting news we hope to share with you all soon so be on the lookout!

In a lot of our editions, we try to stay recent and with what's going on the in the world. We're not fully up to speed with all the lingo kids are using these days but we try our best! So with the crazy year we've been having, the Peachtree road race held the 51st event but instead of it being on the fourth of July, it was held virtually over Thanksgiving weekend. This worked out for us for many reasons: A. we ran around a track to avoid any hill but especially Cardiac Hill, B. the weather was much nicer compared to the 90 degree heat, and C. we didn’t embarrass ourselves in front of 60K other people. The Peachtree added a Wheelchair race in 1982 and the course record has come down by almost 10 minutes since then. The 80s boomed with amazing movies, music, and TV shows that it matched the big hair the decade is known for. And no show was bigger, and no hair greater, than The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. Bob made 403 episodes over using 18 different colors in his paintings and his choices changed over time which brings us to this week’s correlation! That’s right! The winning time of the Peachtree Wheelchair race and the percent of episodes where Bob did not use Black Gesso is 80% correlated from 1983-1994. If you miss Bob Ross, you can watch any of his shows on his YouTube channel.
