Can you believe this is our 46th edition? It’s funny how things work out. If you were alive in the 90s, Michael Jordan seemed to dominate anything related to sports ball. He’s the clear GOAT for basketball but also dabbled with baseball in between his repeat the three-peat championships with the Chicago Bulls. His influence today is still pretty palpable with the release of the docu-series The Last Dance and his GOAT status coming into question with some guy that also likes to wear the number 23. Post retirement, MJ is known to golf in charity events and it seems like he’s low key influencing soccer without anyone really knowing it. Until now that is! That’s right! Michael Jordan’s Google search popularity and how many goals the NY Red Bulls score in the regular season is 74% correlated from 2010 to 2019! Could it really be a coincidence that Red Bulls give you wings and MJ was able to dunk from the free throw line? We’re not so sure!
