Hello all you Correlationers!
It’s hard to believe this is actually the 50th edition! It seems like it was just two and half years ago that this started because that’s about exactly how long these have been going on! With it being a new year we thought we’d do a happy topic like marriage. As everyone is well aware, 2020 was a nightmare but there were still beautiful stories of couples tying the knot and getting hitched because love is love, and a stupid pandemic wont stop it. Speaking of marriages, 50th wedding anniversaries are known as the golden anniversary which is a funny coincidence because that brings us to this week’s correlation! That’s right! The amount of gold mined worldwide and the marriage rate in Mississippi per capita is 86% correlated from 2007 to 2017! So much for Virginia being the state for lovers!
