Hello all you Correlationers!

What a couple weeks it has been am I right! Unfortunately this statement has been painfully true for every week this year it seems like. This year has been full of records, mostly bad ones, but we’re not here for that noise! We here at Correlation of the Week love interesting records like most soccer touches in 30 seconds with a roll of toilet paper (84), farthest distance juggling a soccer ball on ice in 1 hour (2.95 miles), most neck throw and catches of a soccer ball in 30 seconds (26), or even non soccer related ones like most jam donuts eaten in 3 minutes (10). The Guinness Book of Records is a sometimes weird but glorious thing to celebrate crazy things that people are able to do. Another "Brilliant!" thing we love here at CotW is Guinness Beer, and it's not just because William Sealy Gosset (AKA Student) whom was a head brewer that also developed fundamental statistical concepts like the t-test, but because of this week's correlation! That's right! The Google search popularity for Guinness Beer and the Guinness Book of Records is 94% correlated from 2002 to 2019!
